Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update on Eric Garcia’s potential move to Barcelona.
The Spain international Garcia is in the final year of his contract at City and was linked with a switch back to his boyhood club Barcelona during the close season.
Barca attempted to sign the 19-year-old in but failed to agree a fee with City. The premier league club reportedly rejected Barcelona’s offer of €10 million, plus €8m in add-ons, standing firm on their demand of a total package worth €20 million for the 19-year-old.
The La Liga outfit are determined to sign the youngster in January. Garciaas well is determined to return to his hometown club, which he left to join City’s youth ranks in 2017, and has no intention of penning a new deal in England despite being under pressure to agree fresh terms.
Garcia’s representatives are in constant contact with Barcelona to try and work towards an agreement, and the Catalan club will continue to push for a deal until the end of the winter window.
According to Fabrizio Romano via his podcast herewego, Barcelona have a ‘total agreement’ with Eric Garcia over a five-year contract, agent commission, everything.
The report adds that the feeling at Camp Nou is that Eric Garcia will 100% play for them, whether that’s this January or next summer.

It still seems a bit weird to me that he wants to go there so badly. The only real reason it makes sense is because boyhood club/homesick and that but if that was the case he wouldve genuinely forced a move in the summer and went on strike or something I’d imagine
