Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the club is now confident about their chances of landing Lionel Messi without much worry about their wage bill.
The 33-year-old attempted to secure a move away from Camp Nou in the recent transfer window, but the Catalan giants were not prepared to let him depart.
Messi’s deal with Barca will expire next summer, though, and the Argentina international will be free to seek pastures new if he does not agree a new contract.
According to 90min, the Argentina international’s potential transfer to Manchester City has become more realistic as the forward is prepared to “halve his £750,000-a-week wages”, with PSG seemingly also in strongest position to win the race for his signature.
It would certainly be exciting to see Messi at the Etihad before the end of his career. Manchester City will be highly benefitted from Messi’s arrival as a Messi-Guardiola reunion has the potential to win the Champions League.

Prioritise Haaland…move heaven and earth to try to secure him…only then if Messi is possible, he’s a bonus.

City should target Grealish and Haaland if they are to reinforce their attack.
Plus if Messi sign, Aguero stays.
