Manchester City fans have taken to Twitter to react as Pep Guardiola fears his side may have to forget about catching Liverpool while their striker crisis continues.
City got back to winning ways with a crucial 1-0 triumph at Southampton on Saturday – and if we win our game in hand, we will reduce the gap at the top to just five points.
The Citizens are sixth on 23 points, eight adrift of leaders Liverpool, who trounced Crystal Palace 7-0 on Saturday.
When asked whether his men could land a blow on Jurgen Klopp’s Reds, the City boss said: “Right now I don’t know.
“Our momentum up front is not good. We cannot expect in this situation to play much better than the team in third.
“When we created chances we couldn’t score. When that happens always you are going to suffer.

Pep actually has no vision for City, when he came we had first class team and after five years we are nothing. On the other hand Klop and Ole had rubbish teams and with their vision they turn it into first class teams.
