Manchester City enjoyed a 3-0 win over Olympiacos on Tuesday and Ferran Torres was one of many players to come away with praise for his performance.
The Spaniard played in a more central role in the Champions League win over Greek side Olympiakos, and continued his fine form in front of goal by grabbing our opener just after the ten-minute mark.
With Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus sidelined through injury, Torres has been deployed as a false nine and his goals have helped City to a perfect start in Europe, with three wins from their opening three games to stand on the brink of qualification.
Ferran Torres might not be the long-term solution to City needing a new centre forward, but his two appearances in that role this week have been excellent and he’s certainly made himself a candidate to fill in when required.

I remember saying when we signed him that i have a totally irrational feeling (cos I had barely seen him play) that he would turn out to be a very good signing. It’s early days, but the lad just looks every inch a proper footballer. Really pleased he has got off to a good start.

He should start against Liverpool? Aguero has not looked 100% fit this season… we know ferran can finish and he is quick and technical!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
