Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims the club is ‘closely monitoring’ RB Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann with the future of their managers shrouded in doubt.
Guardiola’s contract at the Etihad Stadium is due to expire at the end of next season, and there have been suggestions that the Spaniard could walk away from the Citizens at the end of his current deal
According to The Telegraph, the Citizens are ‘closely monitoring’ the intentions of Julian Nagelsmann, should Pep Guardiola decide not to extend his contract beyond this season.
The Daily Mail earlier this week reported that the club’s top brass are keeping their options open and have narrowed down on two potential options Naglesmann and Mauricio Pochettino to replace Guardiola, if needed.
City still prefer to keep Guardiola beyond this season but doubts are beginning to emerge over whether the Spaniard is keen to stick around any longer.
The City hierarchy are confident that the 49-year-old will extend his contract at the Etihad. But, chief operating officer, Omar Berrada, had said the club would have to look for Guardiola’s successor if he decides to leave.

Great manager, technically very good, young, great man manager. Good choice to replace Pep.

city’s happy with pep and they want him to stay, they will offer him a new contract. now it depends on pep’s decision. i’d be happy too if he stays. Cmon guys, this season is meh for most of big clubs including city, and we are barely into it.

I don’t want pep to leave but if he was to this guy would be the best replacement

Some city fans on this thread have completely lost the plot. Pep is going absolutely nowhere. He is here to say hence why we’ve basically only bought players 25 and under his entire tenure. This is pure garbage being spat out by shit journos and city fans are buying it 🥴
