Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a comment by former WestHam striker Carlton Cole suggesting that Daniel Sturridge could be a shock solution to City’s striker crisis.
Pep Guardiola is currently short of striking options, with Sergio Aguero picking up another injury while Gabriel Jesus remains sidelined with a thigh problem suffered.
Released by Liverpool 16 months ago, Daniel Sturridge is being backed for sensational move back to Premier League with Manchester City.
When asked if City should re-sign Sturridge, Cole told talkSPORT: “Yeah, why not? He’s obviously got the quality, he’s a quality player.
“He’s had his injuries, but I wouldn’t put that of paramount concern right now. He’s played games over in Turkey and he did alright over there.
“He opted to leave Turkey and come back. Right now, it would be the best place for him.
“He knows Manchester City, he knows the people there, and hopefully, he could have an influence on their striker problem at the moment.”

The most un-City signing ever. Firstly by the time get him anywhere near match fit Kun and Jesus will be fit. Secondly nowhere near good enough

I’d rather play a false 9 or Delap, thanks.

It’s a no from me Bro. Give Delap minutes. Sturridge made his decision to leave City when he was a teenager, let it be.
