Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that Nicolás Otamendi is ‘on his way out’ as Pep Guardiola rebuild his defence this summer.
Although Otamendi still has one years left on his contract, City have no intention of extending his deal.
Pep Guardiola has preferred holding midfielder Fernandinho at centre-half at times which is an ominous sign for the former Valencia defender.
With Nathan Ake having already been signed from Bournemouth, it appears increasingly likely that the 32-year-old will be allowed to depart the club.

According to the front page of Portuguese newspaper O Jogo today as relayed by Sport Witness, Porto are working on his return to the club this summer, and the chances of signing him are ‘very strong’.
The reports adds the first contacts for the signing were ‘promising’, and Porto are counting on the help of his agent Jorge Mendes to get the transfer done.
Meanwhile, the Spanish press talks about Valencia’s wish to have him back as well. Outlet Super Deporte writes that the defender sees the return to Mestalla ‘with good eyes’.
Both report point out that Otamendi would need to take a pay cut to join whatever destination he chooses.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra and City chief, Manchester City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
