Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that the Citizens are not yet done in their search for another centre-half despite agreeing a fee for Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake.
City’s need for a centre-half is a priority this summer, and have been heavily linked with a move for many defenders like José Giménez, Upamecano, Milan Skriniar, Diego Carlos, Pedro Porro and Kalidou Koulibaly in recent weeks.
The Citizens have moved quickly to strengthen their squad this summer with Nathan Ake expected to join from Bournemouth for a fee in the region of £40m, but Guardiola isn’t done there.
It’s clear that Pep Guardiola needs to find a quality centre back pairing for Aymeric Laporte, but the back line needs to be settled. He cannot afford to keep shuffling the pack.
Teenager Eric Garcia has partnered him recently but he has also deployed midfielder Fernandinho and veteran Nicholas Otamendi.
According to ESPN, the Premier League runners-up are retaining their interest in Kalidou Koulibaly and Pau Torres despite agreeing a fee for Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief and Man City Xtra, City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

“Koulibaly will be a City player next season,” claimed one fan.
while another tweeted, “I reckon we’ll properly start our negotiations with Napoli for Koulibaly after the Champions League depending on their situation, hopefully Napoli getting knocked out will cause them to drop another few million off the asking price for him.”
