Manchester City have contacted Simons’ agent as they view the Dutch international as a potential replacement for Tottenham Hotspur target Savinho.

However, City would face stiff competition to sign the RB Leipzig attacker.

Considering Chelsea have held a longstanding interest in Simons, the Sky Blues will not find it easy to secure his services.
