Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Tottenham have joined the race to sign highly-rated forward, Adedire Mebude.
The youngster impressed for Manchester City’s under-18s last season, and is a highly rated player internally at the club.
Pep Guardiola’s side have allowed a whole host of players to leave the club either on loan or on a permanent deal this summer. Adedire Mebude may be about to join that list, with interest from around Europe being registered.
Contract talks between the player and Manchester City have stalled, and clubs around Europe are now circling to try and sign the player, who is really highly rated.
PSV Eindhoven and Club Brugge were two clubs with an interest in the player, and now Antonio Conte’s Tottenham have registered an interest.
According to Nizaar Kinsella of Standard Sport, Tottenham have joined the race for Adedire Mebude and are ready to sign the 18 year-old on a permanent deal.
There are other English clubs with an interest in the player, with Newcastle United and Southampton also having an interest in acquiring the services of the youngster.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
