Manchester City’s first-team squad is currently in the United States for a four-game tour along the east coast, including matches against AC Milan, Celtic, FC Barcelona, and Chelsea. Pep Guardiola has a limited senior squad due to players being on holiday after the European Championships, with a notable addition being Swedish youth international Amar Fatah, currently on loan at Lommel from Troyes.
Amar Fatah signed a five-year contract with Troyes in 2022 before joining Lommel on loan. The winger is now joining Manchester City on their pre-season tour in the United States, with the possibility of a permanent move in the future. Fatah, of Somali descent, is receiving treatment for an injury while with the team, and his presence as a trialist is seen as a valuable experience for the young player.
In addition to Fatah, Manchester City has confirmed that Josko Gvardiol and Mateo Kovacic will also be joining the squad in the United States. The team is looking to intensify their training regime during the tour as they prepare for the upcoming season, with more players expected to arrive before the tour concludes in early August.
