Manchester City loanee Alex Robertson may return to Portsmouth next season after celebrating their promotion to the Championship. Robertson’s loan at Portsmouth was cut short due to a serious injury, but he had a successful spell with five goal involvements in various competitions. Portsmouth has expressed interest in bringing Robertson back on loan if Manchester City agrees.
Portsmouth manager John Mousinho has confirmed that the club is keen on re-signing Robertson if the opportunity arises. Robertson, who has previously been part of Manchester City’s first-team squad, has shown potential during his time at Portsmouth and is familiar with the club. Ultimately, the decision lies with Manchester City as they own the player and will determine his next move.
Despite his injury setback, Robertson is open to returning to Portsmouth due to his positive experience with the club. The 21-year-old midfielder’s future remains uncertain, but with Portsmouth showing interest in his return, there is a possibility for Robertson to continue his development at Fratton Park next season.
