Ahead of the busy summer transfer, at least two Man City players have declared their intentions to remain at the club for at least one more season, despite the transfer rumours regarding their future.
The star-studded Pep Guardiola’s team is expected to be greatly affected by the transfer window, as many players are ready to leave to seek new challenge elsewhere after achievement everything with the club.
Among those Man City players linked with a move away from the club in recent weeks are Jack Grealish, Bernardo Silva, Kevin De Bruyne, and Julian Alvarez who has not been a regular starter for the Premier League champions.
Amid the transfer rumours, Jack Grealish has been reported declared that he would not leave the club this summer after he had a meeting with Pep Guardiola before departing for the national duty.
The former Aston Villa man who joined Manchester City a few seasons ago, had one of the terrible seasons of his career during the just concluded campaign. He scored just 3 goals and provided another 3 assists across all the competitions. Pep Guardiola on different occasions preferred to play Jeremy Doku to the Englishman due to his poor form.
However, despite having a difficult 2023/24 season, Pep Guardiola still believes that his most expensive City signing could regain his form and that he could be one of the crucial Man City players in the coming season and replicate his performances of 2022/23 season.
GiveMeSport reported that the winger also believes things will be better for him on and off the pitch next season; therefore, he has decided to remain at the Etihad and rejects every transfer offers from other clubs.
Kyle Walker Joins Man City Players Ready To Stay For Another Season
Manchester City captain, Kyle Walker, who was closed to leaving the club last summer, has decided to lead the team for one more season. The City skipper was linked to Bayern Munich last summer until the last minute when he was convinced to stay by the City boss.
His decision to listen to Pep was fruitful as he was named the club captain after Kevin De Bruyne sustained a long-term injury at the beginning of the season.
The England international had the opportunity to lift three different trophies both domestically and internationally while wearing the Captain band. He could lift more next season after deciding to stay with the Premier League champions next season.
