Alvarez has had a slow start to his career at Atletico Madrid, scoring his first goal in a recent game. The fact that City received £82 million from Alvarez’s sale seems like a smart move, especially with Haaland’s strong start to the season. Tim Sherwood praised Haaland’s impact on City’s recent victories and suggested that the Norwegian striker is happy Alvarez is no longer with the team.
With Alvarez gone, Haaland has taken on a more significant role in the team, knowing that he is now the main striker for City. Despite the strong connection between Haaland and Alvarez on the pitch, Haaland’s performances have justified City’s decision to sell Alvarez and rely on the Norwegian forward.
