Manchester City have signed Savio from sister side Troyes for a potential fee of £33.6m, with the Brazilian agreeing to a five-year deal. Savio had an impressive loan spell at Girona last season, contributing 10 goals and 11 assists to help the team secure a Champions League finish in La Liga. Pep Guardiola is confident in Savio’s abilities and believes he will play a significant role for Manchester City this season.
Guardiola may use Savio on the left flank, as a left-footed winger who can offer a different profile compared to City’s other options.
