Three La Liga clubs, Real Sociedad, Real Betis, and UD Las Palmas, are interested in signing 18-year-old Manchester City sensation Claudio Echeverri on loan in 2025. Echeverri, who came up the ranks at River Plate, was signed by Manchester City for €18.5 million last year and is currently on loan at the Argentine club. However, City wants him to gain experience in Europe before joining their senior squad.
Initially, Echeverri was expected to join Girona on loan in 2025, but with the Catalan outfit qualifying for the Champions League, this plan has been altered. UEFA regulations prevent clubs with the same ownership from trading players, so Manchester City is exploring other options for Echeverri’s loan move. Real Sociedad, Real Betis, and UD Las Palmas have emerged as potential destinations for the young midfielder.
The La Liga clubs are attracted to Echeverri’s talent and believe he could provide a significant boost to their squads. The Argentine youth international is known for his goal-scoring ability and playmaking skills, making him an attractive prospect for the Spanish clubs. While other clubs may also express interest in signing Echeverri, for now, Real Sociedad, Real Betis, and UD Las Palmas are the frontrunners to secure the loan deal for one of South America’s top young talents.
