Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a reports that claims Pep Guardiola has identified Aston Villa star Jack Grealish to be a key target as part of his rebuild.
The 25-year-old featured on City’s list of potential recruits during the last transfer window and he was admired at Etihad, but there were no discussions with Villa during the summer over a deal.
Pep Guardiola is a big fan of the midfielder, having consistently heaped praise on Grealish throughout the season.
According to The Independent, Guardiola wants City to move for Jack Grealish, having identified the Aston Villa midfielder as a top target for his planned rebuild.
The report cites a conversation between Guardiola and Kevin De Bruyne off the back of the Belgian speaking candidly of Villa’s No.10 following England’s defeat in Belgium last week. The Belgian described the 25-year-old as a player that City should try to sign.
The report claims that Villa’s contract with Grealish has a clause in that means they won’t sell for anything less than the £100m mark. That is an increase on the value they had of their key man in the summer, thought to be around £70m.

A great replacement of @21LVA and will make great partnership with KDB.

This would be great… Grealish likes KDB and I’m sure he would succeed here

Good move! Would be a great addition to this squad. Could possibly do a job in replacing gundogan or mahrez or Bernardo. Plenty of running left in the legs

He would have been replacement for Silva. Creative brave and scores goals. Will only get better. Signed a new contract for Villa end of last season so missed the boat.

City have no creative midfielders beside KDB. Look at the amount of goals scored this season

I’d rather the big money move to be haaland, he’s going to be one of the best in the world. I also think aouar should be high on the priority list
