Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Gabriel Jesus has told Pep Guardiola that he now prefers operating on the wing.
Pep Guardiola started Gabriel Jesus on the right-wing for the first time in a Premier League match since 2017 and the results were sensational.
City beat Norwich 5-0, with three of the goals coming down their right thanks to Gabriel Jesus, who impressed in an unfamiliar right-wing role.
Gabriel Jesus is a regular for his national side on the right flank but we’ve seldom seen him deployed on the wing for Manchester City.
According to Jack Gaughan for the Daily Mail, the Brazilian has told Pep Guardiola that he now prefers operating on the wing for Manchester City.
The 24-year-old is one of the senior players who has been linked with a move away from City during this transfer window, with the pursuit of Harry Kane casting further doubt upon his future.
If Jesus is happy playing out wide and being the assist-provider rather than the goalscorer, then staying at the Etihad Stadium and playing for the Premier League champions would make sense.
The Brazilian has scored 50 goals in 133 Premier League appearances so far in his career.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.

Good, although he was a good striker, the way he operated on the wing against Norwich was unbelievable to watch

Hard for him to start over Mahrez, Sterling and Foden.
