Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Barcelona are willing to sell some players to raise funds for the pursuit of Raheem Sterling this transfer summer.
The former Liverpool man endured a mixed season after falling out of favor under Pep Guardiola and finding himself in and out of the Manchester City team.
Barca have now sensed an opportunity and believe they will be able to raise the funds for at least one big summer signing, of which Sterling is now a leading candidate
The 26-year-old, who is currently training with Gareth Southgate’s England squad ahead of Euro 2020, has recently emerged as a potential target for the Spanish giants, who see him as an ideal replacement for Ousmane Dembele.
Barcelona are reportedly weighing up a move for the England international this summer as they look for a possible replacement for Ousmane Dembele.
However, they are aware that he will still have a large price tag despite City being willing to move him on. They could send some players in the opposite direction to sweeten the deal.
According to the latest report from SPORT via Purely Football, the La Liga giants are planning to sell Philippe Coutinho, Miralem Pjanic & Samuel Umtiti to fund the transfer as well as reducing their wage bill.
The news was shared on Twitter by City Chief, and it attracted plenty of attention from Man City fans, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts on this latest update.
Well that would be a silly move wouldn’t it
