Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update on the Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly’s potential move to the Etihad.
The 29-year-old is considered one of the world’s best centre-backs and has attracted plenty of interest from around Europe. The likes of Manchester united, Real Madrid, PSG and Liverpool have been linked, though City are favourites to sign him.
The Citizens recently completed the signing of Bournemouth’s Nathan Ake but are believed to still be interested in Koulibaly to finally bring in the leadership skills City lost when Vincent Kompany left the club.
Tvdellosport journalist Alfredo Pedullà reported earlier today City have offered €63 million plus bonuses for the Senegalese defender which is very close to their reported €70m asking price.
According to Il Mattino via Sport Witness, Koulibaly’s agent Ramadani will present Napoli with Manchester City’s latest offer for Kalidou Koulibaly, which is put at £58.6m.
The report adds City are also offering a four year contract to the defender worth £5.8m a season.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City xtra and City Chief, Manchester City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
We should get him at any cost he is the perfect replacement for Kompany— Faisal Bosco (@faisalbosco) August 12, 2020

I like what man City is doing next bid you add another €3M making it €68M, keep whining them till the break and then let’s be scouting Diego Carlos n others to see if there’s a possibility— Kenny Camillus 🕊 (@Kennyy1_) August 12, 2020
Why isnt city exploring the option of inserting a player + cash deal for KK? If ADL wont budge from his 80m valuation and we are ready to offer 60-65, then why not add zinchenko there? And/or Otamendi. That will save a lot of wages too.— Arjun (@ArjunDMish) August 12, 2020
Stop whining ffs. Koulibaly is exactly what we need.— skyzenz (@skyzenz) August 12, 2020
After we sign Koulibaly we should sign Gabriel the next day… just to balance what Aurelio did last summer with Jorginho— 💙City💙 (@ericssson75) August 12, 2020
