Manchester City is currently leading the race for the Premier League title, with eight league matches played, they are three points above Arsenal and one point below Liverpool. City has won six games and drawn twice, making them the only unbeaten side in the league. Former Liverpool player Danny Murphy pointed out that City’s ability to cope with injuries and rotate players effectively is something Arsenal needs to match if they want to compete for the title.
Another issue highlighted by Jamie Carragher is Arsenal’s discipline, with three red cards in the first eight games of the season costing them points. Despite the challenges Arsenal faces, including injuries to key players like Odegaard and Saka, they are still expected to be contenders in the title race according to Murphy. City, who drew against Arsenal earlier in the season, will have to be wary of the Gunners’ competitiveness as the season progresses.
