Manchester City fans were delighted with the performance of Phil Foden during the club’s 3-0 win over Burnley in the Premier League last night.
The 20-year-old was the standout player as he scored twice and set up another with a disguised reverse pass, as the champions ran riot against Sean Dyche’s side at the Etihad.
Foden, drifting between the left side of the attack and the centre of the park, found space to open the Burnley defeat time and time again.
City fans took to Twitter in their droves to respond to the foden’s unbelievable performance.

Even Arsenal fans were very impressed with Foden’s performance as well.
#Foden and #Mahrez are another level. Should be in the #ManCity side week in week out. Arsenal are miles off City… it’s going to take years to build to their level🥺#Arsenal #PremierLeague pic.twitter.com/ikPODuEyK8— AFC FANS 2004 (@AFC_fans2004) June 22, 2020
Would love Foden at Arsenal but he’s English so he’ll cost twice as much as he should be.— Patrick 🇿🇦 (@PatrickKiddAFC) June 22, 2020

Guardiola, meanwhile, also praised Foden’s display on Monday night and also revealed the club hierarchy were not looking to buy a replacement for Silva, given Foden’s progression and positional similarity.

Former City defender Micah Richards praised Foden’s first goal, a stunning strike from outside the area.
“It was absolutely brilliant,” he said on Sky Sports. “I mentioned Phil Foden before the game, he’s so good and he just needs to get the opportunities that he needs.
“He pops up in those areas, there’s no use being out on the wing, he gets into the central positions and that boy can produce. I love watching him and I really hope that next season he can nail down his place in this team.”
Foden has made 27 appearances across all competitions this season for City. He now has four goals and seven assists from just 12 starts for Man City this season.
