As the summer transfer window nears its close, pundit Danny Murphy praised City’s move to sign Ilkay Gundogan on a free transfer from Barcelona, noting that the midfielder will be welcomed back and could be a key player for the team.
Gundogan spent seven years at City before joining Barcelona last summer, where he had a successful season, starting in 45 of 51 games and contributing with goals and assists.
