Tottenham Hotspur Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that John Stones reportedly snubbed a loan move to Jose Mourinho’s side before the window shut.
The 26-year-old has struggled for regular playing chances at the Etihad Stadium, and the arrival of Ruben Dias and Nathan Ake will further deal a huge blow on his opportunities.
According to the Daily Star, Mourinho wanted to take the City centre-back to the capital on loan for the rest of the season, but he opted to stay put.
The report claims Stones wants to stick around and fight for his place at the Etihad Stadium.
Tottenham ended up failing to sign a central defender on deadline day, but they could bring in a player in the position over the coming weeks.

Stupid by him if true. He’s gonna miss the Euos if he stays and he could potentially formed a partnership with Dier and forced his way back in the team.

Well if true then I hope that we don’t buy him bcs I don’t want unmotivated players who care prob only about money to play for us.

Tottenham have kept an eye on John Stones, but the defender does not want to leave Manchester City *because he’s* on big wages

Can’t get into City’s starting XI. Foyth is a better prospect and he’s gone on loan. #THFC #COYS pic.twitter.com/vqd1f0uULf
