Manchester City are looking to sell Joao Cancelo this summer, as the player has not been integrated back into the squad by coach Pep Guardiola. With financial difficulties at FC Barcelona, the search for a new club for Cancelo has been ongoing, leading to interest from clubs in Italy and Barcelona. However, Manchester City are looking for a club to meet their asking price of €30 million, with Saudi Arabian clubs Al-Ahli and Al-Ettifaq emerging as potential destinations.
Cancelo himself is not interested in a move to the Middle-East and is focused on returning to Barcelona, having already agreed to personal terms with the club. Barcelona, on the other hand, are looking for another loan deal with a non-mandatory buy option, while Manchester City would only accept a deal with an obligation to purchase. Cancelo has previously turned down offers from Saudi Arabia during the previous summer market.
Manchester City have also been negotiating the future of goalkeeper Ederson with Saudi Arabian transfer bosses, with Al-Ittihad struggling to meet City’s £50 million valuation. The pursuit of Ederson is expected to come to an end soon, with Manchester City standing firm on their asking price.
