Manchester City has been preparing for their upcoming tour of the United States with a number of new names and faces joining their training this week. The Premier League champions will be playing four games along the east coast of the USA this summer, leading up to their FA Community Shield and English top-flight openers against Manchester United and Chelsea respectively. The tour will begin with a match against Celtic at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill, followed by games against AC Milan at Yankee Stadium, FC Barcelona at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, and Chelsea at Ohio Stadium in Columbus.
The squad joining Pep Guardiola includes several young players such as 17-year-old centre-back Kian Noble, 19-year-old attacking midfielder Nico O’Reilly, and 18-year-old defensive midfielder Jacob Wright, among others. These new additions will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and potentially earn a place in the first team squad for the upcoming season. The tour of the United States will serve as an important part of Manchester City’s pre-season preparations as they look to defend their Premier League title and make a strong start to the new campaign.
