Real Sociedad reach agreement to sign Sergio Gomez

Real Sociedad have been keen on signing 23-year-old out-of-favour Manchester City defender Sergio Gomez this summer.

According to reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, La Liga club Real Sociedad have secured an agreement to sign Sergio Gomez. La Real will pay a fee of around €9 million for the Premier League winner, and Manchester City have inserted a 15 per cent sell-on clause as well as a buyback clause in his contract.

Gomez needs to play regularly, and a move to Real Sociedad would be ideal for him. He is unlikely to start for Manchester City every week. Meanwhile, the…
