Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims Pep Guardiola will only renew his contract by one year.

Guardiola’s contract at the Etihad Stadium is due to expire at the end of next season, and there have been suggestions that the Spaniard could walk away from the Citizens at the end of his current deal.

This is already the longest time Guardiola has spent at a single club, with four and three seasons at Barcelona and Bayern respectively.

Speculation over the Catalan’s next move will undoubtedly increase as the end of the contract nears.

According to the latest edition of SPORT on Wednesday, Guardiola will only renew his contract at the Etihad by a further 12 months.

Guardiola, 49, took charge at City on an initial three-year deal in 2016 but extended that by a further two seasons in 2018.

While extending his terms at the Etihad, he insisted a new deal will only be offered if he proves deserving of one this season.

In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief and Man City Xtra, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

Many believe by merely extending by a year, it doesn’t create the security the club needs in order to build for the future.
