Manchester City have experienced many players leaving the club in recent years to seek new opportunities elsewhere, such as Leroy Sane, Ferran Torres, and Gabriel Jesus. As the summer transfer window progresses, Sergio Gomez and Liam Delap have also departed from the Etihad Stadium. Pundit Stewart Robson believes Julian Alvarez should follow suit and secure a move away from the Manchester club. Despite Alvarez’s contributions to City, Robson questions whether he would be a consistent starter in a team trying to be the best in Europe and the Premier League.
Alvarez appeared in 54 games across all competitions last season, showcasing his attacking prowess with 19 goals and 13 assists. However, with competition from players like Haaland and De Bruyne, he may not expect to start every game for City. If Alvarez is not content with his role at the club, he should consider joining a team where he can have a more prominent starting position.
