Manchester City is reportedly interested in signing Jamal Musiala in the summer transfer window. The Premier League champions have already brought in Savinho from Troyes and have been linked with several other players, including Musiala. However, pundit Jan Aage-Fjortoft believes that City’s chances of landing the Bayern Munich star this summer are slim.

Musiala, who is 21 years old, has had a successful career at Bayern Munich, scoring 43 goals and providing 31 assists in 163 senior appearances. He also impressed during the 2024 European Championship, scoring three goals for Germany. Journalist Christian Falk suggested that City may see Musiala as a potential replacement for Kevin De Bruyne in the future. However, his age, skill set, and contract situation could make him an expensive acquisition for City, which may be why Fjortoft doubts a deal will happen in this window.

Given the abundance of top-level midfielders already in City’s squad, signing Musiala could require a significant financial investment. With Musiala still having a few years left on his contract at Bayern Munich, it may be challenging for City to secure a deal for the young midfielder this summer, as suggested by Fjortoft.
