Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on twitter, which relayed a report that claims the club have no reason to apologise for their vast spending.
While City have the biggest net spend of any Premier League side over the last decade, they do have at least have 10 major trophies to show for it.
Chelsea and Liverpool‘s recent success can also be highlighted by a quick glance at their net spend.
In reality, Money do not guarantee those trophies but must be spent wisely and be combined with a solid coaching staff and backroom staff at the club.
According to Diario Sport and relayed by Sport Witness have revealed that those at Manchester City ‘do not apologise for having money’ because they are aware money alone cannot guarantee success.
It is unfair to highlight the amount City have spent on players when some of the more established giants of the game continue to do likewise, but with less success.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many City fans have have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.

Chelsea is an example- spending £200 million and were stuck in 8th with a ‘world class’ manager 🥴 just shows you have to have talent and a world class manager

We’re villians now, doesn’t matter trying to justify such things to a majority that already lothe us, might as well just embrace it.

But we don’t spend it to our best abilities especially when it comes to superstars we don’t wanna pay we’d rather go for second best
