Manchester City’s young striker Liam Delap may be the subject of bids from Premier League clubs this summer. Delap, who scored on his debut for City in a Carabao Cup match against Bournemouth in 2020, has also made appearances in the Premier League and UEFA Champions League for the team. With 78 goals in 139 career appearances, Delap has shown promise on the pitch.

Delap spent the last season on loan at Hull City, where he made 32 appearances and was directly involved in 10 goals. The 21-year-old has a contract with Manchester City until 2026 and has previously played for Stoke City and Preston North End. He has shown potential in City’s Elite Development Squad by scoring 32 goals in 32 Premier League 2 appearances.

Interest in Delap has been reported from Premier League clubs such as Southampton and Ipswich Town, with Newcastle also being urged to consider him as a replacement for Callum Wilson. This interest from top-flight clubs has hindered Hull City’s attempt to secure him on an additional loan. Southampton has already successfully signed another player from Manchester City, Taylor Harwood-Bellis, for £20 million after gaining promotion to the Premier League.
