Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that the club is interested in signing Spanish international Sergi Roberto.
Roberto worked under Pep Guardiola during his time in charge of the Spanish giants but made just six appearances before he departed in 2012.
Since then, the 28-year-old has established himself as a key player for the Blaugrana, showcasing his versatility by playing in central midfield or right-back.
According to today’s Sport newspaper covers via Football Espana, Pep Guardiola could re-unite with his former mentee this summer as the Premier League runners-up are considering an approach for the versatile Spaniard ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
The Catalan is happy at the Camp Nou and does not want to leave but could if Guardiola, the coach who gave him his senior debut, convinces Sergi that he counts on him as an important team member.
The 28-year-old’s current deal with the Spanish champions is due to expire in two years, and Juventus have recently been credited with an interest in his services.
In reaction to the reports, which were relayed by Man City Xtra on Twitter, City fans have flocked to share their opinions on the transfer rumours.
