Manchester City are aiming for back-to-back wins in the Champions League as they face Sparta Prague. Rodri’s absence due to injury has been described as a blow by Jamie Carragher, but Guardiola is looking to dispel doubts by making up to seven changes to the team ahead of the match.
In defense, Ortega could replace Ederson, Walker’s absence may lead to Lewis retaining his spot, and Stones and Akanji could start alongside each other. In midfield, Gundogan may play as the number six with Kovacic and De Bruyne out, while Nunes and Silva could also feature. Up front, Haaland may be rested with Foden as a false nine and Grealish on the left wing.
