Manchester City will face Wolves in their fourth away match of the season following the international break. With five wins and two draws in seven league games, City sit in second place with 17 points. Pep Guardiola provided an injury update on Nathan Ake and Kevin De Bruyne, revealing they are not yet ready to return to action. Ake suffered a muscle injury during an international match in September, while De Bruyne picked up a similar issue in a Champions League game last month. Despite their absences, City remains unbeaten this season, but will need all players fit to compete for trophies.
While Ake and De Bruyne are unlikely to feature against Wolves on Sunday, it is positive that Ake could travel with the squad. Guardiola’s side will look to maintain their unbeaten streak, especially considering Wolves beat them 2-1 at Molineux last season. With key players missing, City will need to manage their squad effectively to continue their successful run this season and compete for silverware.
