Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has made a strong comparison between his record-breaking title winners and the historic teams of their rivals in years gone by.
The Catalan coach and his Treble winners of last season made yet more history over the weekend, as they became the first club in English top-flight history to win the title in four consecutive seasons.
That success follows on from two globally acclaimed titles, as Manchester City won both the UEFA Super Cup in Greece last August, and the FIFA Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia in December.
Manchester City could yet make it a quadruple of trophies won in a single season, as they embark on an FA Cup final on Saturday afternoon with a trip to Wembley Stadium to take on Manchester United for the second season in a row at the same stage of the tournament.
Without doubt, supporters and pundits alike will be wanting to make comparisons between Manchester City and some of the best teams of the past, but manager Pep Guardiola has already made his mind up on the matter….
