In contrast, United has seen a decline from third to eighth place, raising doubts about their future prospects. Despite the uncertainty surrounding City’s future after Pep Guardiola, they remain strong contenders for the title, while United struggles to make a significant impact in the league. Scholes doubts United’s ability to challenge for the title and questions if even finishing in the top four is a realistic target for them.
