Pundit Paul Merson has shared his thoughts on the potential transfer of Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi to City, noting his ability to play against teams that sit deep defensively, a common tactic City face.
Furuhashi has been a prolific goalscorer for Celtic, scoring 73 goals in 135 appearances since joining in 2021. With his skill in front of goal, the Japanese international could be a valuable addition to Guardiola’s squad, especially following Alvarez’s departure. Merson, a former player himself, believes Furuhashi could be a good fit for City and it remains to be seen if the transfer will materialize before the end of the month.
