Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update on Bournemouth captain Nathan Ake’s potential move to the Etihad.
Nathan Ake is one of the latest defender strongly linked with a move to the Etihad amongst José Giménez, Upamecano, Milan Skriniar, Diego Carlos and Kalidou Koulibaly in recent weeks, as Pep Guardiola looks to sign a new centre-back at the end of the season.
The Athletic reported last week that City had stepped up their efforts to sign Ake with Guardian suggesting he will complete a £35m move to the blue side.
While recent report by Daily Mail claims the Citizens were waiting to see if Bournemouth’s valuation for the 25-year-old Dutchman has changed after they were relegated from the Premier League.
According to Telegraph, Bournemouth could be forced to accept a cut-price fee for Nathan Ake, after it emerged the centre-back does not have a relegation clause in his contract.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief and Man City Xtra, City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions
Could be great back up for us and he’s homegrown player.— ‘ (@mancitymj14) July 28, 2020
I’d love to add Ake to our defense, anything around £25 mil would be a great price— Vincent’s Kompany (@City_USA1894) July 29, 2020
It makes sense. We have to stay within the FFP regulations.— Pete (@Pete01mcfc) July 28, 2020
If we sign Ake for £20m but refuse to sign Koulibaly for an extra £10m Im done— . (@BellisBall) July 28, 2020
No more than £25M. We have a number of other positions that require investment, but I do understand the need for another left footed CB.— RyanD2588 (@D2588Ryan) July 29, 2020
Sign Ake and then sign the WC cb if we can’t negotiate the Koulibaly deal after Napoli vs Barcelona just move onto Diego Carlos— AJ 🥶 (@KSZN22) July 29, 2020
Saw Koulibaly being bullied by Lukaku last night, I’m not convinced. He lacks pace even! Not worth the trouble!— Chillo (@ChilloDintoa) July 29, 2020
