Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that Oleksandr Zinchenko’s agent has admitted the Ukrainian would be open to being involved in the potential deal for Kalidou Koulibaly.
The Citizens have been negotiating with Napoli for several weeks over their asking price of the Senegalese defender, with Aurelio De Laurentiis stating clearly in the Italian media that Napoli would deny any offer below €70M plus bonuses.
It is understood the Premier League club had offered as much as £63m, leaving the two clubs far apart in terms of the final fee.
There has been talk of City offering Zinchenko as part of the deal to bring the two clubs closer together on the asking price.
Zinchenko’s agent Alan Prudnikov has admitted that the Ukrainian was on Napoli’s radar three years ago and is suggesting his client would be open to being involved in the move.
“He is on the radar of Napoli, three years ago there were meetings“, Prudnikov told Italian outlet Gonfialarete.

“But for this [Zinchenko to be included in the Koulibaly deal] we must ask the agent of Koulibaly, for whom we have the utmost respect, like we have the utmost respect for the management of Manchester City.
“If this happens [Manchester City call to include Zinchenko in the Koulibaly deal], we will listen to Napoli’s proposal and try to see what to do.“

Not a good idea he should stay— Pouya Baharifar (@PouyaBaharifar) September 11, 2020
He plays in an unfamiliar position and then he’s blamed for not excelling in that position. Try play De Bryune as a left back and see if he will still be considered a star— Icy Sea (@Ole_Lengai) September 11, 2020
With Angelino on loan we need him. But if Yan Couto is any good, then Walker/Couto and have Cancelo/Mendy as the primary LB pairs. We also have Ake who can play at LB. So if including Zinchenko could reduce the price to 50mil + zinchenko then let’s get it done pls— Aswin Viswanathan (@CallMeAchu) September 11, 2020
Cancelo so much better than zinchenko. But rather get rid of Mendy. Waster— Stevie (@steviehcohen) September 11, 2020
