Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims the club is interested in signing Red Bull Salzburg striker Patson Daka.
The Zambian frontman has caught the eye of several big sides after impressing for the Austrian side last season.
The 22-year-old has been in excellent form for his Austrian club this season, finding the back of the net on 31 occasions in 29 appearances in all competitions.
According to Salzburger Nachrichten, Manchester City as well as Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are all interested in Patson Daka, with the striker currently valued at just €20 million.
Of course, Erling Haaland is the dream moves for the Sky Blues. However, Manchester City shouldn’t ignore the Bull Salzburg stand-out striker talent as he could prove a good value alternative.
Given the amount of money a deal for Haaland or Kylian Mbappe could cost, the 22-year-old could represent a good value alternative.
Salzburg are in a strong position when it comes to any potential negotiations, though, as they have the in-form attacker on a contract until the summer of 2024.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

Why are our fans so obsessed with Haaland? Like any other player is a failure. If Haaland did what daka is doing at Salzburg this would be different scenario. There’s also Kane, Felix, lukaku. Many options

if we failed on haaland I’ll be happy with him

Interesting alternative to Haaland I think he should still be our first choice but Daka is still a very good player and would be interesting to see what sort of price they’d want and how he’d do in the Prem
