Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Brighton & Hove Albion are among several clubs chasing youngster Oscar Bobb.

Manchester City signed the 20-year-old from Vålerenga in 2019, but he’s yet to feature for their first team. He has impressed for their U23 side and is currently part of Pep Guardiola’s squad for the pre-season.

It’s claimed the Cityzens value the Seagulls target a lot and when an unnamed top club approached them a while back, the Premier League winners told them even a £15m offer won’t be enough to take him away from them.

The Norway U21 international can operate across the attacking line and Guardiola has backed him to shine at the Etihad.

“He had an incredible season with the second team. He played amazingly… The guy plays well in three or four different positions. We trust him a lot. Phil Foden, Cole Palmer, Rico Lewis, James McAtee and now Oscar. He has good prospects,” TV2 quoted the Manchester City manager as saying.

TV2 state his suitors, which include Brighton, Benfica, Sporting and others must wait. If they are still keen to sign Bobb, they will have to table an ‘exceptional bid’.
