Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Erling Haaland has already told Jude Bellingham to join him at the Etihad.
Bellingham has been adding to his reputation at the World Cup in Qatar. Already of interest to Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid, his list of admirers could be growing.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, as part of a lengthy update on the Bellingham saga on Twitter, Haaland is trying to convince his former Borussia Dortmund teammate to snub Liverpool for City.
“Manchester City are Liverpool’s most serious rival for Bellingham currently,” wrote the journalist. “Erling Haaland has already told him to join. City haven’t made their move yet but it’s thought they will enter the race.”

Bellingham is under contract with Borussia Dortmund until 2025 and will likely cost a nine-figure sum if he is to leave before then.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
