Manchester City may need to find a new manager as Pep Guardiola’s contract is set to expire in June, with speculation about his future intensifying. Ruben Amorim has been mentioned as a potential replacement for Guardiola, with Manchester United also showing interest in the Sporting manager. Despite interest from both clubs, Amorim is focused on his current job and has a contract with Sporting until 2026.

Amorim has overseen 225 matches at Sporting, winning 159 and picking up several trophies since his appointment in 2020. If he is City’s top choice to replace Guardiola, they may need to act quickly to secure him, especially with United’s interest. However, many would prefer to see Guardiola sign an extension given his success at City.
