A recent report from Brazil has shed light on the transfer fee agreed between Manchester City and ESTAC Troyes for the transfer of Savio this summer.

The Premier League champions are in the process of finalizing the paperwork to make Savio a Manchester City player after completing a season-long loan at Girona from France.

Savio has played an important role in the success of the Catalan club, as they continue to battle it out with Real Madrid for a La Liga triumph.

It’s no surprise that Savio has attracted widespread interest from across Europe, particularly from the Premier League and Bundesliga. However, Manchester City seems to be leading the race to sign the player.

According to journalist Jorge Nicola, as translated and relayed by Sport Witness, Manchester City is spending €30 million to sign Savio permanently from fellow City Group side Troyes, with 12.5% going to Savio’s former club Atlético Mineiro. This means Atlético Mineiro could potentially earn around €4 million from the deal.

Currently, it’s unclear what Manchester City’s intentions are for Savio’s future. Given his achievements in the Spanish game this season, the player is likely to have the opportunity to impress for a first-team slot. It’s also possible that Savio will return to Girona on loan for the next season, especially if the La Liga club secures a place in the UEFA Champions League for the 2024/25 campaign.

Yan Couto is another player currently starring at Girona who is likely to be assessed this summer. The Brazil international full-back is on loan at the City Group club directly from Manchester City.
