Kalvin Phillips is set to join Manchester City for their pre-season tour in the United States after returning to the City Football Academy for medical testing and training sessions ahead of the upcoming 2024/25 season. Despite only starting twice for City last season, Phillips had a successful loan spell at West Ham where he featured in the Premier League and UEFA Europa League.

Since joining Manchester City in 2022, Phillips has made 31 appearances for the club, winning multiple trophies including the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, and FIFA Club World Cup. City will look to add more silverware this season as they prepare for their US tour and Community Shield clash against Manchester United before starting their Premier League title defense against Chelsea.

Despite speculation about Phillips’ future, the 28-year-old is still expected to travel with Manchester City for pre-season. Several clubs including Everton, Fulham, and AS Roma have been linked with signing him, but a return to Leeds United seems unlikely after they failed to secure promotion to the Premier League. Phillips’ next move remains unclear as the summer transfer window approaches.
