Manchester City is preparing to sign a new lucrative contract with Oscar Bobb, which will see the forward’s wages more than triple. The 20-year-old is set to join other first-team stars at Manchester City in receiving an improved long-term contract, as Pep Guardiola has already given him his Premier League and UEFA Champions League debuts this season. Bobb recently made his first Premier League start against Brentford and has scored in crucial wins over Newcastle United and Red Star Belgrade.

Having made his debut for Manchester City against Fulham in September, Bobb was also awarded the Premier League Goal of the Month for his last-minute winner against Newcastle. He has appeared in 16 matches for City this season and has already received his first senior international caps for Norway, making four appearances since his debut in October. The winger also participated in the FIFA Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia and played in both of the team’s Emirates FA Cup matches this season.

Before the midweek game against Luton Town, Bobb is expected to sign an improved long-term contract until 2029, with his salary at the Etihad Stadium more than tripling to around £50,000-per-week. This five-year deal will make Bobb the first member of the current Manchester City squad to sign a contract until 2029. Additionally, Bobb’s international teammate Erling Haaland is also in talks for a new contract with Manchester City, while goalkeeper Ederson, whose current deal expires in 2026, is rumored to be in discussions for a potential new contract.

Overall, Manchester City is securing its key players and reinforcing the squad with long-term contracts to maintain their competitiveness in the Premier League and European competitions.
