Manchester City is set to reward rising starlet Oscar Bobb a new long-term contract.

The Norwegian winger has two years left on his current £12,000-a-week contract – but that weekly wage is jumping to £36k following his promotion into the Etihad first-team squad.

Bobb has been hailed as a future star during his time in the City academy and has featured three times in the league already this season.

According to the Daily Star, Guardiola wants to hold onto him as the club is preparing to offer a bumper new deal which will keep him at the club until 2029 and triple his wages.

As per the report, the Spanish boss believes Bobb is an even hotter prospect. Which is why there are no plans for City’s two-time Under-23 Player of the Year to be sent out on loan in the January transfer window.

With the likes of Rico Lewis and Phil Foden blossoming under the Spaniard’s tutelage after leaving the academy, Manchester City fans will hope that Bobb can produce something similar.
