Manchester City may finally part ways with one of the most talented and versatile squad players following the report that the Cityzens will listen to an offer of around £40 million if he decides to leave this summer.

Even though Pep Guardiola will hope to keep many of his first-team players at the club beyond this transfer window, it seems some have decided to leave, while others were contemplating on quitting City for another club.

Among those whose future remains uncertain is the experienced Brazilian goalkeeper, Ederson Moraes. The former Benfica player may leave this summer amid the controversies regarding his happiness at the club lately.

The Brazil international publicly challenged Pep Guardiola’s decision to replace him during the English Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur towards the end of the season. He collided with Spur’s defender and seemed that he wouldn’t be able to proceed with the match.

He was subsequently replaced by Stefan Ortega, but the decision got him angry. This was following by a speculation that he may decide to seek new challenges elsewhere and will be open to a move away from the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City will reportedly entertain offers in excess of £40m for the 30-year-old goalkeeper, who is now the most decorated goalkeeper in the history of the English top-flight league.

He celebrated more titles than any goalkeeper in the league after winning his six league trophy, surpassing Peter Schmeichel having won 17 trophies within just seven years at the club.

Since joining Manchester City, Ederson has proved to be an important player for Pep Guardiola. He brought stability to the City playing style and kept 155 clean sheets in 332 appearances for Man City across all competitions for the league champions.

Saudi Pro League clubs, including Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr are said to hold an interest in Ederson and are willing to pay around £25m to lure him to the Middle East, but Manchester City will not entertain any deal less than £40m.
