Manchester City are considering a reduced price for goalkeeper Ederson as he is reportedly linked to a potential move to Saudi Arabia. The Brazilian international has been a key player for the club since joining in 2017, with his style of goalkeeping aligning perfectly with manager Pep Guardiola’s vision of playing out from the back. Despite his success at City, the 30-year-old is rumored to be eager for a change of scenery in the final years of his career.

Al-Nassr, a Saudi Arabian club, is said to be interested in signing Ederson and are pushing for a significantly lower fee than the initial €50 million asking price. While discussions continue, there is hope among Manchester City fans that Ederson may stay, especially as the Saudi club is also pursuing Liverpool’s Alisson. City have a policy of allowing players to leave if they express a desire to do so and a suitable offer is made, as confirmed by Kevin De Bruyne in a recent interview.

De Bruyne himself has also been the subject of transfer rumors, with his contract set to expire in 2025. Despite interest from Saudi Pro League teams and Major League Soccer, the Belgian midfielder has not indicated a desire to leave Manchester City. The situation with Ederson and potential transfers reflects City’s willingness to accommodate player requests while also considering future team dynamics.
